A Bad Week
Last week was a bad week in the weight loss war. I didn’t get to hike at all. My only option for getting outdoors would have been Saturday, during which it rained statewide all day. I didn’t get into the gym but twice. My work schedule was unusual, having to be up in the middle of the night to support off-hours changes. My personal schedule required that I was home more than usual to cover sick children – the flu is going around. My eating could have been better. End result – slight weight gain. Grr.
This is a new week, however, and I’m back at it. Had a nice, light eating day yesterday and a good workout. I might be able to sneak in a hike – hard to say as the weather looks questionable as the week progresses. I’m hoping to do Sandwich Dome or possibly the Kinsmans. Yesterday, the weather was naturally gorgeous as I was stuck in the office working for a living…hard to look at the bright sun from inside.
While I haven’t been able to use it much, I have new gear to report on and will be doing so in later posts.
- Black Diamond Trail Shock (trekking poles)
- Casio Pathfinder PAG80-1V (A/B/C watch)
- Outdoor Research Crocodiles (gaiters)
You’ll have a good week – stay strong
I post regularly about my journey, and my current posts will be about nutrition if you fancy reading them.
